Gimme Some Wine publication and album

To coincide with Eleanor McEvoy’s album, which as a tribute features on the cover Chris Gollon’s painting ‘Gimme Some Wine’, IAP Fine Art has published the monograph ‘Gimme Some Wine’ featuring all 23 paintings Gollon painted in response to the song Eleanor wrote for him.

‘Chris Gollon: Gimme Some Wine’ a 36-page exhibition catalogue published by IAP Fine Art, 2021, with texts by Eleanor McEvoy, art historian Mary Rose Beaumont, and curator Wilfrid Wright. (ISBN: 978-0-9530584-2-6). Alongside the texts, it reproduces in full colour all 23 paintings from Chris Gollon’s Gimme Some Wine series.

This publication accompanies an online exhibition at IAP Fine Art, which coincides with the launch of Eleanor McEvoy’s album ‘Gimme Some Wine’, the title track having inspired Chris Gollon’s last great series of works on a single theme. The cover of the album, as a tribute to Chris Gollon, features his painting ‘Gimme Some Wine – Final Version’.
